Being in love with Ilica street, Zagreb, Croatia
Ilica Ulica, the name confused me for a while because of its first 3 letters, but it took me zero second to realize that this street is special. It’s one of the most photogenic places in Zagreb.
Over 5km long, IIica street is the one of the longest and busiest streets in Zagreb. The street is always filled with people and the presence of trams makes it ideal for taking photos. I took hundreds of photos on this street. It's been my go-to place to find something interesting and new.
When I first stayed in Zagreb in 2015, I rented the apartment located on Ilica. I remember I arrived at Zagreb railway station and took a tram to the apartment. And when I saw the street from the tram, I felt right. It just fitted perfectly to my liking. It’s like “Oh, so this is Zagreb? Okay, I love it!.” Just like that, I fell in love with Ilica street and Zagreb.
I heard the sign of "bike burger" was removed recently. Is that true?
So Ilica street is one of my favorite streets in the world. If you ever come to Zagreb, check that out for sure. And if you live or used to live there, know that it is special.
Do you have any favorite street that is special to you? And what makes that street special to you?
